One day at a time
Going to jot this down here so I can refer to it when there’s one more unnecessary argument that almost always ends with me in tears. I’m really tired of crying.
Audhu billahi min ash-shaytaani rajim,
Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim,
I intend to be kind. I intend to not speak in anger or hurt. I intend to face my days with strength and hope and gratitude.
I ask Allah to facilitate the best outcome. I ask Allah to bless us and forgive us and guide us to that which is best for us, in this life and the next.
I seek Allah’s forgiveness for saying what shouldn’t have been said. I ask Him to fill our hearts with love for Him and His Messenger, with contentment and peace.
I ask Allah to protect us from getting hurt and from hurting others, and to learn from every single thing. I ask Him for protection from shaytaan, our nafs, and people who have evil in their hearts or have ill-intent towards us. May our prayers and our salawat be a shield for us from evil, and may our every step, every word, every decision, every thought and every action be guided and blessed by Him.
O Allah, verily I seek the better of either choice from You, by Your knowledge, and I seek ability from You, by Your power, and I ask You from Your immense bounty. For indeed You have power, and I am powerless; You have knowledge and I know not; You are the Knower of the unseen realms.
O Allah, if You know that this matter is good for me with regard to my religion, my livelihood and the end of my affair then decree it for me, facilitate it for me, and grant me blessing in it. And if You know that this matter is not good for me with regard to my religion, my livelihood and the end of my affair then turn it away from me and me from it; and decree for me better than it, wherever it may be, and make me content with it.
