Isn’t it comforting to know
That He knows

There isn’t 2 sides to the story
There’s only one
Different perceptions maybe
And different versions for sure
But what actually happened — just one

Life has a way of unveiling pretensions and deceptions
Even if lifetimes may pass
All your mythologies and made up stories
Will one day be taken to task

You may dazzle and charm with titles and filters
But the one who has to face the mirror is you
No fans or friends can answer for you
When God asks you “What did you do?”

Take account before you’re taken to account
And be honest even if just to yourself
No fans or friends can make the reckoning comfortable
Best get on it, and be responsible
Make amends and face yourself
while you still got time fix this
No one said spiritual growth was a walk in the park
We’re here not for ourselves, but for Al-Haqq
